| Often
referred to as "the Big Ten guy in an Ivy League room," Billy
Goldberg has built a successful career by listening to client needs.
Recently while leading a team at The Buckeye Group, inc. (www.thebuckeyegroup.com) he
generated a significant amount of new revenue for the Miss America
Organization. More recently he brought in 4 nationally and internationally
recognized clients to the Buckeye Group.
While working as an agent at William Morris, he honed his talent for negotiating
complex deals and selling concepts utilizing a conversational approach based on
customer need, not overselling. His innate ability to connect with
people and focus on finding the perfect solution also served him as a Vice
President at Bank of America. By collaborating with the client,
understanding their needs and customizing the perfect package for them Billy
was in the top 10% of his team after less than one year, managed hundreds of
millions of dollars in assets and became a member of the President’s
Club. He used this same common-sense approach at Tennis Channel where he
helped bring in clients such as Land Rover, Lexus, Acura, Nike, Kia and
Paramount Pictures, which in 2007 represented 40% of the channel’s sales revenue.
As the West Coast Manager of HighSchoolSports.net, he provided clients such as
Nike and Universal Pictures with original, custom made ideas and successfully
grew their business with the site and continued to do so at a national level
upon Gannett’s purchase of the company. A compelling speaker, Billy is a founding board member and lead fundraiser of
Melissa’s House, a home for adults living with mental illness. (www.melissashouse.org) In 2008 he
completed the AIDS/Lifecycle a 545 mile charity bike ride from San Francisco to
Los Angeles. (www.aidslifecycle.org)
Billy’s extensive experiences have combined to prime him for where he is today –
a creative solutions provider able to provide fresh perspective, big ideas and
valuable concept-based sales skills as a business development consultant.
